This book is depressing to me. It is brutally honest about the problems that are inherent in human life. The universe is indifferent to your striving, nothing you do changes anything, desire is insatiable, total indulgence is fleeting, status/fame is unfulfilling, legacy is unstable and corruptible, your progeny can squander what you have created, and in the end you will die the same way an animal dies.
